The project focuses on restructuring part of the demiplane, in the Baccelli building, where the service for heart surgeries is located. The building is connected to complex thanks to a tunnel and is composed of 3 floors. The area of intervention is of 640 sqm and will host the Heart Transplant Department.

A total of 16PL is included in the project: Il progetto prevede la realizzazione di un totale di 16 PL, articolati in:

• a monitoring room (4PL),
• 6 hospital rooms (2PL),
• 2 hospital rooms (1PL) with an isolation filter,
• All rooms will be equipped with a bathroom.

The department is equipped with support rooms, to meet the structural and technological needs:

• Room for the coordination of the nurses, with a bathroom
• Working area for the nurses and direct assistance
• Waiting room for visitors and medical center
• Kitchenette
• Waiting room for patients and visitors
• Room and bathroom for doctors
• Staff room, with bathroom
• Equipment room
• Storage of cleaned material
• Washing room
• Storage for dirty material
• Toilets for the staff (men and women separated)
• Toilets for patients equipped with appropriate number of PL and hygiene services
